Welcome everyone

It's always difficult to keep in touch with everyone and keep people up to date on what's new and exciting, so what better place than a one stop shopping for news and pictures for our family and friends.

A lil’ about the family

Nico and Jen started their lives together in May of 2006 and haven’t looked back once. A relationship built on trust and faith in one another, Nico and Jen took a shot at chance when they met face to face only two weeks after their e-encounter. They married in September 2007.

Nico and Jen opened their hearts to their first bundle of joy in October of 2006 – Rossi Lynn. Weighing in at a whopping 18lbs, you can imagine we couldn’t possibly be talking about an actual baby. Rossi is a beautiful, brindle, Bullmastiff. One look at Rossi and you can see the love in her eyes. Unfortunately in January 2008, Rossi underwent her first of two TPLO surgeries; the second in March of 2008. With six months of in-the house-no-play time under her belt, Rossi came out of her surgeries like a new puppy (lack of training and all :))

In the meantime, Nico and Jen welcomed their second “little” bundle of joy, Bayliss Marie. Bayliss was a brindle English Mastiff, but an Egyptian goddess in a past life. Her lay-down position resembled an ancient Sphinx; head astute, arms gently laid in front of her and back legs tucked in. Bayliss lacked some typical dog habits. She couldn’t quite locate her licking ability. She may have thought she was “kissing” someone but she wasn’t about to show tongue. She played tough only if she thought she was supposed to. “Rossi bark = I bark” must have been her motto. But Bayliss was a momma’s girl all the way, she knew who the boss was in this house. Sadly, in September 2008, Bayliss suffered from Cognitive Heart failure and was put on an obscene amount of heart medications. The initial prognosis allowed for a possible nine months with Bayliss, but her little heart could only handle one. Bayliss passed on October 18th 2008. She will never be forgotten.

By the shear kindness and love of an amazing breeder, Jean Rakestraw, Nico and Jen have welcomed a new bundle of joy to the family – Maverick (middle name TBD). Maverick is from a long line of amazing mastiffs and wants to take a shot at that show world, just like his mom and dad. Nico and Jen can’t wait to watch him grow!

Thanks for visiting our place.
